Values

Connection and Purpose: We believe that our connection to the outdoors brings us together as a powerful voice for protecting the places we love.

Belonging, Justice, and Equity:

  • We believe all climbers have an important role to play in stewardship, conservation, and advocacy.

  • We foster and support a community where all people feel respected, welcomed, and able to fully engage in climbing and outdoor recreation.

  • We believe that diversity of experiences, opinions, and ideas spur innovation and strengthen our community.

  • We honor the Indigenous people who have cared for the land since time immemorial, and we are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy those places.

Partnership: We are stronger when we work together, whether we are sharing a rope, building a trail, or meeting with legislators and land managers. We support our partners and celebrate their work.

Respect and Integrity: We operate with integrity. We respect each other and the natural legacy we have inherited. We are true to our word and build trust through our actions.

Joy, Challenge, and Community

Every climber finds something different on the rock: pure joy, limitless challenge, wild freedom, like-minded community. Access Fund works to make sure all climbers have the opportunity to revel in those experiences, because every climber who does is another person inspired to care for the climbing landscapes we hold dear.

How do we accomplish that? Keep reading.
