other ways to give
Monthly Giving
Giving monthly through your debit or credit card is an easy way to increase your gift to the Access Fund. A little goes a long way. Choose a level that works for you:
Depreciated Property
If you wish to donate property or securities that have lost value, you may want to consider selling the property and taking a loss for tax purposes, and then contributing the cash received from the sale. In that case, you are eligible to receive a deduction both from the loss and from the charitable gift.
Life Estate Agreements
Through a life estate agreement, you may transfer the ownership of the property but continue to live in the residence for the rest of your life. The benefits of this agreement frequently include significant income tax savings the year the agreement is established and a reduction in gift or estate taxes.
Combined Federal Campaign
Federal employees, including federal civilians, military personnel, and U.S. Postal Service workers, can now donate to AF through the federal government's Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is a charitable fundraising program where you give to the Access Fund through automatic payroll deductions.. If you are a federal employee, please look for the Access Fund (agency # 12047) in the official CFC listing of eligible donors. You can also make your contribution on-line by going to: www.conservenow.org, click on Search for a Charity, type in the Access Fund and make your contribution there.
If you have additional questions on these programs please contact Jason Smith at jason@accessfund.org.
Donate a Vehicle
Unwanted Vehicle? Don't trade in, donate to us! Vehicle donation is easy, it's tax deductible and often times yields more to you than the dealer offers in trade in.
- IT'S EASY. You don't have to do anything except fill out the paper work. Once you mail in your paperwork, our service will call and pickup your vehicle within a week. The Access Fund will receive the funds from the sale within 8 weeks.
- IT'S TAX DEDUCTABLE. You are entitled to an itemized tax deduction of the fair market value of your vehicle.
- It can be worth more to you than the dealer offers in trade in. Compare what the dealer offers against the value of your tax deduction before you trade-in. Plus we get the net proceeds to work on programs to keep local climbing areas open.
- You can donate ANYTHING. Cars, trucks, airplanes, boats— any vehicle can be donated.
For more detailed information on donating your vehicle to the Access Fund please contact Jason Smith, Development Director, at 303.545.6772 x113 or smith@accessfund.org.
