Access Fund holds a recreation easement for Monster Rock--a limestone crag 30 minutes west of Austin, TX. In 2019, Monster Rock was donated to Texas Climbers Coalition (TCC) to manage future public climbing access.

Monster Rock was purchased in 1998 by local climber John Hogge who developed the property into a public climbing park. Over the years, management of the property became increasingly difficult and John decided to transfer the property. Having seen the recent success of TCC’s acquisition of Medicine Wall in San Antonio, John approached TCC to see if they would be interested in acquiring the property. TCC agreed to hold the property and Access Fund agreed to hold a recreation easement to permanently protect the property for climbing.
