Join the Conservation Team and the Red River Gorge Climbing Coalition at the Pendergast-Murray Recreational Preserve.
Both Conservation Teams will be working at Drive-by to stabilize belay platforms by building rock terraces out of locally sourced rock material and will construct erosion control structures for drainage issues along the cliff. They’ll need help quarrying and carrying stone to the worksite.
Meet at 9 am at the PMRP parking lot. Work wraps up around 3 pm.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:
Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
Although we'll be outside, if you are feeling ill or have had any recent exposure to Covid please reconsider and stay home to rest up!
If you have any questions, please contact stewardship@accessfund.org or the RRGCC.
All volunteers must complete the Access Fund waiver prior to volunteering.
