Join Mid Atlantic Climbers for an Adopt a Crag at Great Falls. Volunteers will be removing invasive species and vegetation northern area of the park. While relatively low angle from a climber’s perspective, the park has asked volunteers to rope up for this work. East Outdoors will be helping with the rope work! Remember to bring your harness!
The work area has heavy overgrowth and there are thorns and vines. There may be ticks, snakes, or other wildlife so please be prepared. Please wear heavy clothing such as jeans and closed toe shoes. Some plants may be difficult to remove; we will use tools such as hand saws and loppers. All tools will be provided.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:
Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
