Please join the Minnesota Climbers Association for the 2025 Ḣe Mni Caŋ Adopt-a-Crag.

Meet up in Red Wing at the trailhead of Ḣe Mni Caŋ (also know as, Barn Bluff) at 10:00am on Saturday, June 7th.

Come prepared for a day outside. Bring your climbing gear for some après work sends. This is a fantastic opportunity for new climbers to get involved in our vibrant and growing climbing community.

They’ve been working with the city and they have identified a few goals of the day:

#1 – Buckthorn Remoival – Removal of buckthorn from around the quarry area, and the trail up to the bluff. Move buckthorn debris to the park entrance with city-provided tarps.

#2- General trash pick up - focusing on areas adjacent to Highway 61

For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:

• Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.

• Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.

• Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
