Index Adopt a Crag

  • Doolittle Pioneer Park 200 5th St, Index, WA 98256 (map)

Join the Conservation Team and Washington Climbers Coalition at Index, WA to work on the trails around Lookout Point and Private Idaho.

Meet at the main town park in Index (Doolittle Pioneer Park) at 8:30am to sign waivers and perform safety checks before beginning work at 9am. We are asking that people please park at the Heybrook Ridge Trailhead and only park in town if this lot is full. Carpool if you can!

Work will go until 3 pm. We are looking for up to 12 volunteers each day to join us in caring for this great crag! If you have a "Waitlist" registration, we will reach out if a volunteer can no longer attend. Otherwise, please do not attend with a "Waitlist" ticket as we'll be at capacity from our "Volunteer" registrations.

For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:

  • Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.

  • Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and extra layers for the elements.

  • Please leave your furry friends at home, no dogs will be allowed at the worksite.

  • Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!

If you have any questions, please contact stewardship@accessfund.org or info@washingtonclimbers.org

All volunteers must complete the Access Fund waiver and sign our Code of Conduct prior to volunteering.
