Join the East Tennessee Climbers Coalition (ETCC) for an Adopt a Crag at the Obed. This Adopt-a-Crag Trail Day is a community volunteer event made possible by through partnership with the ETCC, Access Fund, the National Park Service, Nature Conservancy, and local landowners.
Bring:
Sack lunch, snacks, water, long pants, closed-toed shoes, bug spray/sunscreen, climbing gear (there will be time for fun!), bowl/utensils for dinner (let’s reduce together).
The Plan:
10am Eastern (9am Central) — Arrive at the Lilly Pad for greetings and project selection. Please park at Clear Creek Lot: 124 Doc Howard Rd in Lancing, TN 37770.
10:30am — Leave Lilly Pad for projects.
Afternoon — Wrap-up projects. Feel free to go climbing or exploring. (Lunch on your own.)
5pm — Return to Lilly Pad for free dinner (for volunteers) and some fun!
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep the following in mind:
Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
