Please join Eastern Missouri Climbers Association on Saturday, September 12, 2026 for an Adopt a Crag! Volunteers will receive a free day pass they can use on a later date.

The purpose of this event is to better the local crags. There are times when debris collects in holds, trails erode, or new trails need to be built, promoting better crags improves climber experience, and it's a fun way to experience new areas with others!

Volunteers will focus on a few tasks:

• trail maintenance

• route cleaning

• boulder cleaning

• campground maintenance

Schedule:

• 11am meet near stairs

• 11:15am-2pm break out into groups for different tasks

• 2pm-til sunset free climbing for volunteers

• Campfire and BYOB drinks after

For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:

• Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.

• Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.

• Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!

Please bring the following if you can:

• Helmet!

• Rakes

• Hoes

• Extra clothes to climb in if you prefer
