Join Ascent NHV and Ragged Mountain Foundation for an Adopt a Crag at West Rock State Park. Volunteers will divide into projects ranging from light to heavy duty. Tools and garbage bags will be provided. Volunteers, please bring gloves, snacks, water, any important medications, and a helmet (for work at the crag).

Planned service projects include:

• Trash pickup along roads, trails, the ballfield, river, etc.

• Trail maintenance: clipping overgrowth, spreading woodchips, covering up redundant trails, demarcating climber trails, etc

• Graffiti removal and prevention

• Installing a climbing anchors practice station

For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:

• Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.

• Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.

• Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
