Meet Maya Madere
Maya Madere fell in love with competition climbing as a team kid in Austin, Texas, and gradually shifted focus to the outdoors while earning her undergraduate degree at Stanford University. Competing internationally has brought her to climbing destinations all over the world, which fueled her interest in conservation and access initiatives. Now an avid outdoor sport climber and boulderer and a member of the Arc'Teryx athlete team, Maya lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she balances climbing with a variety of hobbies both athletic and artistic (skiing, knitting, ceramics, cooking, and windsurfing, to name a few).
