Overview of the Issue

Access Fund has worked for over a decade to defend Bears Ears National Monument alongside the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition and conservation partners. Following the President's latest proclamation reducing the monument by nearly 91%, we remain committed to restoring Bears Ears' rightful, landscape-scale protections. Access Fund opposes the unlawful use of the Antiquities Act to reduce national monuments and is exploring all available options to help reinstate the monument's boundaries while keeping the climbing community informed of the latest developments.
