Join the Ohio Climbers Coalition for an Adopt a Crag at John Bryan State Park. This trail day will focus on improving trails and access to the established climbing areas. Post work, volunteers are invited to climb and enjoy a cookout to celebrate the important conservation work done John Bryan State Park!
Volunteers should plan to meet at the Wingo Picnic Area parking lot at 10am to complete waivers and gather supplies for the workday before heading out to the various worksites. The OCC will have some personal protective equipment available for volunteers to use (work gloves, eye protection, and ear protection if necessary), but please wear closed toed shoes and clothes that you are comfortable working in. The OCC will also have extra water and snacks to share during the workday, but please bring your own reusable water bottle to refill.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep the following in mind:
Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
